THE VAL™ IS
A Dissolved Gas Stripping Tower
Providing highly effective dissolved gas stripping via vacuum extraction. Per Henry's law of dissolved gas solubility the stripping power is amplified by the ratio of atmospheric over vacuum pressure. Undesirable dissolved gases such as carbon dioxide, nitrogen, hydrogen sulfide and volatile organic gases are readily extracted.
A Gas Dissolution Device
Providing highly effective replacement of desirable dissolved gases. The down coming tube provides a counterflow arrangement with long residence time ensuring desirable gases are completely dissolved. Desirable gases such as oxygen, ozone, or carbon dioxide, depending on the application, are readily injected and dissolved in the process water stream.
A Foam Fractionator
Providing unmatched fine particle removal. The rising air bubbles in the VAL™ collect fine particles and form a foam at the top of the VAL™. This foam is then continuously vacuum extracted and captured for use or disposal as appropriate.
An Airlift Pump
Providing efficient water circulation device in low head applications. At low head, airlift pumps are more efficient than other pumping technologies.
